I Support Dr Susan Rennie

Dear shareholders-

Woolies is generating 11.7% of its annual profit from its pokie business. You have 13,000 pokies across 330 venues all around Australia and many are open 20 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The community loses more than $12 billion to pokies every year.

Whittlesea is already losing $107 million annually from pokies, making it one of the most severely impacted municipalities in Victoria. Yet Woolworths forced the Council to spend tens of thousands to defend their decision not to approve more pokies in the Commercial Hotel.

This pokie-greed is hurting our communities!

Woolworths cannot be a family-friendly business whilst reaping huge profits from a product that is devastating Australian families every day.

I stand with Dr Susan Rennie in her bid to run for the board. Woolworths needs to get out of the pokie business and stick to being the Fresh Food people!

Woolworths is the biggest operator of pokies, the most damaging type of gambling, making an outrageous $2.4 billion out of its pokies business over the past 12 years. On average, that's $200 million a year!

Woolies is generating 11.7% of its annual profit from its pokie business. They have 13,000 pokies across 330 venues all around Australia: 85 pokies venues in Victoria, 49 in NSW, 29 in South Australia and 122 in Queensland.

Dr Susan Rennie is running for the board of Woolworths on an anti-pokies platform to throw a spotlight on the profits Woolies earns from a product which hurts millions of Australians. We want her to be able to inform the board of the thousands of Australians who stood with her and against Woolies pokie business.

It's time for them to get out of the pokies business and Dr Rennie is turning up the heat on the board.

Sign the petition to stand with Dr Rennie as she acts to make sure Woolies sticks to being Fresh Food people rather than continuing to be the Pokies People.
