The Dandenong RSL recently applied for 11 poker machines to add to their existing 63, the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) rejected the application on the basis that there would be a detrimental impact on the Dandenong community.
The RSL are considering appealing the decision to VCAT. It is critical that community members ask the RSL to accept the VCGLRs decision and to not appeal it to VCAT. The venue already costs the community $7.6 million every year, and if they appeal this decision it will cost council money that should be spent elsewhere!
