Gambling Royal Commission
Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition,
Whistleblowers continue to expose a litany of unconscionable behaviour by the gambling industry.
From targeting and plying customers with free alcohol in Woolies-owned pubs, to corporate bookies skirting privacy, consumer protection and anti-money laundering laws.
The gambling industry is rife with serious issues that need the powers of a Royal Commission to reveal the true scale of the problems, and what should be done to deal with them.
Show the leadership that is required on this issue and support a Royal Commission into the gambling industry today!
The Woolies pubs case is just the latest in a series of scandals involving poker machine clubs and pubs in NSW. From openly boasting about “heavily influencing” the government's plan to reopen venues during the COVID pandemic, to applying to permanently expand gaming room floor all in the name of ‘public health’, and turning a blind eye to accusations of money-laundering - this is an industry that clearly believes it is above the law.
Join us in calling for a Royal Commission to uncover the extent of harm, unethical practices and political influence exercised by the multi-billion dollar gambling industry.
