Gordon Ramsay - Alliance for Gambling Reform

Gordon Ramsay

In that role, he led significant reforms throughout the term, including the implementation of the recommendations arising from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

During his term, he led a reform agenda to gambling in the ACT, which resulted in a reduction of over 20% of electronic gaming machines, substantial regulatory improvements and laid the pathway for ongoing reform.
He oversaw cultural shift in the gambling space and the adoption of a public health approach to gambling.
He forged new relationships across advocates, regulatory bodies, industry and people with lived experience to effect a reduction of gambling harm.

Over the previous two decades Gordon led work in the community services and advocacy space locally and nationally. He Chaired the Board of Uniting in NSW.ACT, worked with UnitingCare Australia, led the ACT Targeted Assistance Strategy, and was a member of the ACT Community Inclusion Board.

Gordon has been instrumental in raising awareness and addressing the issues of disadvantage. As Executive Minister at Kippax Uniting Church for 19 years,
