GAMBLING LOSSES FOR THE AREA

NSW Liquor and Gaming bundle together the data for neighbouring council areas if, in one or more of those areas, there are less than 5 venues of a type. These bundled groups are not consistent from one half year to the next, nor are they necessarily the same for pubs and clubs. It makes it very difficult to establish losses in individual council areas which do not have many gambling pubs or clubs.

What is your position on poker machine policy?
Reducing the harm caused by gambling in our community is a critical objective. Commercialised gambling has no place in our public arenas, and we must support our local clubs to flourish without the need for gambling revenue. As a councillor I will take action to progress this wherever I can.
