AREA'S LOSSES

This council area is ranked 2nd in the state for losses through machines in both clubs and pubs. It is ranked the 29th most disadvantaged council in the state. It has the dubious distinction of having the most poker machines of any council area. Canterbury Leagues Club is ranked  6th in the state by poker machine net profit, and the Bankstown Sports Club is 7th. There are 13 clubs in this council area ranked in the top 100 clubs by poker machine net profit.

 

CANDIDATE RESPONSES

Name Ward Reducing the hours of poker machine venues?  Local governments having greater say on the granting or refusing applications for poker machines in their respective communities?  Banning of all sports gambling ads?  Not taking any donations from venues or organisations that derive income from gambling interests?  Reducing gambling harm in your LGA?
