Rebecca studied Journalism at RMIT and then worked as a journalist for News Corp for six years, before moving to Europe for five years. After seven years working in communications in the Victorian Public Service she moved to the peak body for Australian medical research institutes, AAMRI. While at AAMRI she led the communications for the successful passage of the $20 billion Medical Research Future Fund. Rebecca worked for the Victorian peak body for Aboriginal community health organisations before joining the Alliance in July 2019. Outside of work Rebecca is passionate about education and literacy in the developing world and helping to raise Seeing Eye Dogs.
