This webinar will be an opportunity to tell us about your experience making a submission, or to ask any questions about the royal commission; whether it be about the terms of reference, the format in which you can submit your submission, or what to focus on.
We know that gambling harm is under-reported and often unacknowledged in many public health consultation processes. If we can’t acknowledge the effect that gambling harm is having on mental ill-health, we’re not doing Victorians justice. Our voices must be heard.
We’ve heard that the Government have committed to any recommendations made by the Commission. This is an important opportunity to establish gambling harm as a public health issue, and to potentially get a recommendation that the government employ harm minimisation and reduction measures to protect the public from gambling harm.
It’s also a really important opportunity for us to hear from you, as lived experience experts on the harm that gambling has on individuals and communities.
