Which of the policies referred to in our Candidate Information Pack, do you support? What is your position on poker machine policy?
Jill Wood Central Poker machines should be limited
Kathy Mansfield Central End Gambling Adds
Deanna Gunning Central Council Social Policy. I would like to see poker machines abolished altogether, but seeing as how that would be near impossible to get passed, then my position is to see them regulated and monitored much better than they currently are and have severe penalties for breaches. Gambling is indeed a public health and wellbeing issue and needs to be treated as such. I agree with the local government advocacy asks and think they are quite reasonable.
